Here is a video of a 3D Printer using Parallel Kinematics driven by KFLOP that Professor Yong Chen and his students Xuan Song and Yayue Pan created over at USC



It still needs work, but I loved watching the video.

I think this type of parallel arrangement also has the potential of being quite stiff compared to a traditional series or stacked set of axes.
